About Us

We are a small business hailing from Ottawa, Ontario.  

I graduated from Fashion Design school when I was 48 years young.  I absolutely loved the whole process.  I came away determined to make this my second career.  One day I found a pattern for a handbag just and decided to make it on a whim.  Something New.  Well I was hooked.  I have never looked back.

Andar Handbags was created out of a passion for all things handbags.  I believe that the accessories that we wear and carry are a unspoken way of telling people just a little bit about us.  I cherish people's individuality, and thrive to making everyone's experience a personal and beautiful one.  

We are continue to grow to offer other Handbag Makers the opportunity to shop for hardware and to make their own creations.  

As a Canadian, I found it difficult to find sources of supplies to make great handbags.  So we decided to grow Andar Handbags to offer Hardware.  These are exciting times, and I'm hoping that the passion for handmade and handbags is contagious.
